At the core of a good therapeutic relationship is trust, the sense that you can talk about whatever feels right in the moment, perhaps something you have never felt able to disclose to anyone before. I am under no illusion that it won’t take time for this trust to build.
At the risk of sounding simplistic, my passion has always been People: why we behave the way we do, what makes us tick, what makes one person’s perspective so different to another’s etc…
A number of close family bereavements led me to counselling where I have been able to appreciate first hand that counselling really can work and enable one to feel complete, “alive” and whole as a person, perhaps for the first time ever.
