I am a recent graduate from Brunel University London with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. I have always had a fascination with the human body, movement and how the body systems work together. For this reason, I decided that a career in physiotherapy would allow me to develop an in depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology with which I could apply this knowledge to help those who are experiencing difficulty.
As an avid sportswoman, I appreciate the frustration that injury can cause and the debilitating effects that it can have on daily life. I am qualified in Sports Massage and Kinesiology Taping with experience working with the SportsAid London Marathon team, University of Brunel track and field athletics team, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams, University of Derby football and rugby as well as links to Epsom and Ewell Harriers athletics club.
During a placement at The Royal Free Hospital I developed an interest in Pelvic Health especially pre/postnatal health. Subsequently, I wrote my dissertation on the effects that gait analysis training could have on reducing the incidence of pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain.
